Review of treatment and care of remandees

Persons who are remanded in custody are presumed to be innocent until proved guilty. In the ACT, persons on remand are detained at the same facility as sentenced detainees. The Inspector of Correctional Services is currently conducting a review into the treatment and care of persons on remand at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
