8 Nov 2024OICS is delighted to announce that Rebecca Minty has been appointed the new ACT Inspector of Correctional Services, following the completion of Neil McAllister’s 5-year appointment.
Rebecca has worked with OICS as Deputy Inspector since 2018, working in close partnership with Neil McAllister, the inaugural ACT Inspector of Correctional Services, since its inception to establish and operationalise OICS. Rebecca has also worked in human rights law and policy for more than fifteen years, both in the ACT and internationally. Her work has focused particularly on conditions and treatment of persons deprived of their liberty, including with the Association for the Prevention of Torture. Congratulations Rebecca!
