ACT Government responds to Inspector's review of remand at the AMC

The ACT Government has tabled their response to the Inspector’s first review of a correctional service, which was published in February 2019.

The Review made 39 findings. The ACT Government has:

• Agreed to nine findings;
• Agreed in principle to eleven findings;
• Noted twelve findings; and
• Not agreed with seven findings.

The Inspectorate looks forward to the implementation of this response, including the new induction regime and the replacement of the AMC's telephone system.
